Little Fox, construction supervisor.

I was happily hanging out with Sequoia today and then my roommates pulled up in the car.  Hmm, I wonder what they have gotten themselves into?
Uh oh.  They got back from Home Depot, looks like a home improvement project.  I better get my supervision hat on (if I had one that is).
Looks like an odd assortment of tools.  Ant killer, a hammer, tape measure, saw, a soda the size of Alaska, and a tool box.
The wood is in good shape and I am intrigued as to what they are making.
I always tell my humans to measure twice, cut once.  Let's see if they listen.  Apparently, they did.  This looks like a table, but I have to admit it's not very stable.  According to my roommates it's supposed to be a garden tool storage caddy.
Well, as you can see by this mess there is still work to do.  This little fox is signing off for the day.  It's lunch time.
PS- Happy Early Father's Day everyone.

Little Fox....earning his keep

Uh, Hello Blog Pals, I didn't see you.  It's me, Little Fox just hanging around the kitchen area hoping my roommates will throw some chicken into the old crock pot tonight.
My roommates indicated that if I wanted chicken then I had to help out with
a few projects around the house.

These holes need to be patched up and what happened to the blinds?  Uh, humans.
This looks like it should be replaced.
My trusty screwdriver came in handy here.
Need to get the paint out.  A minor touch up is needed.  I better supervise this one as paint and fur DO NOT go well together.
I think I need a break.  This might be a good place to supervise the rest of the work.
....Hours later a little fox wakes up from his nap...

**Sign** It looks like my roommates have started a project while I was sleeping.  Ugh, the prep work, if you can call it that, looks like a disaster.  I better step up and supervise.

Painting is the name of the game today.  The key to a successful paint job is preparation.  I better put a row of tape around this bathroom fan to keep paint off of it.
A good brush is crucial.
Ahh, this looks good.    No mess, no splatter, a nice paint job.
Now that the bathroom has been painted, thanks to L. Fox Supervisor it's time I sit back and relax with a nice cold beer.

Handy Sandy

Hello Blog Pals ~ Little Fox here updating you on our newest activity with my special guest, Sandy.  Droopy asked about an episode of "Handy Sandy" recently on Sandy's blog and it got me thinking.  You know, I have some unfinished projects around the house that maybe Sandy could help me with.

The first project around the house is fixing the screen door.  The screen fell off recently and hasn't been fixed yet.
Sandy: Yup, Little Fox you are missing a screen here.
Little Fox: Umm, thanks. Sandy but I kind of knew that already.
Sandy: Let me get a better look at the old screen and see if it's salvageable.  OK, it looks like I will need to replace the wheels, is there a Home Depot nearby?

Little Fox: Are you sure it's just the wheels?
Sandy: Little Fox, come over here.  You see from this angle you can tell for sure that it's the wheels that need to be replaced.
Little Fox: Ah, yes from this angle it is the wheels.
The next project Handy Sandy worked on was the leaning bookcase in the garage.
Sandy: My goodness, this bookcase is leaning toward the car.  I can help you fix that.  Little Fox, it seems that this case has lots of beer stacked on it, if we drank some of the beer then it would probably lean a lot less.  Thoughts?

Sandy: Let me come up here to your level.  Little Fox, trust me, I am a very handy bear and to fix this bookcase we need to drink that beer.
Little Fox: Hmm, this is an interesting twist, perhaps Sandy has been spending time with Drunk Fox?
Little Fox: To get Sandy off his beer rant I thought it best that I make a light lunch for us. Let's see, what do we have?
Sandy: I like your plate Little Fox.
Little Fox: **Rumble, Rumble, Rumble** Ah yes, I found some food that Handy Sandy and  I can enjoy.  Brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and waffles.  I hope this is enough food for our lunch?
Little Fox: Sorry for all the empty calories Sandy.  I can get some carrot sticks and red pepper strips if you prefer?
Sandy: Mmmmmm, this lunch is perfect!

Little Fox Construction Supervisor

Whew!  I have been busy today doing all sorts of things.  I had construction work to supervise today.  The first job I must supervise is patching the holes in the wall.  Hmm, some spackel ought to take care of this job

Ok, now I must get my roommates started on the painting the outside door.
They seemed to have spelled the name Bear incorrectly.

Clearly, the outside porch needs painting.  My roommates have decided to hire out the other painting (this is good, less work means more time for adventuring). I fully support this idea, a professional painter will probably do a good job.
This must have been painted before I entered the supervision business.

Well, now onto the bathroom.  This looks like an easy fix.  All we have to do is repair the drawer and reinstall it.  Piece of cake.
I know this picture is hard to see but is that a brass fixture?  Brass....  Really?

Coffee break.

Sequoia came along to “help” out.  It was all good till he got paint on his fur and paws.  Ugh.

Wow, we got done fast, probably because of the great manager they hired  ***little fox with a gleam in his eye***This would be a good time for me to present the invoice.

With extra time in the afternoon we decided to head to the park.  We are at a Hudson’s Bay Company trading post called Fort Vancouver.  When my roommate went to school years ago (you know the middle ages) he spent many hours learning about Fort Vancouver and it’s importance in setting the state.
When the fort was in full swing around 1840 they had a full English garden (5 acres) with decorative plants and lots of vegetables.  They had a smaller garden today.   This did have some wildflowers in bloom.
Oh my gosh, the train tracks were certainly busy today.  Hmm, this is an outing designed for Jerry and Ben (trains, gardens, sun).
I like that color of orange.
I wonder if Jerry and Ben like sailboats?
