A fall adventure

 Greetings Stuffy Pals.

Little Fox here. I am enjoying a nice fall day.  I'm at the Coyote Wall and Catherine Creek area of Washington. So many hiking choices for this little fox to make.

This rock looks like a good rest.  It's a nice fall day.  This little fox is enjoying the sun.
A secret cave for me to explore.
The wildflowers are gone but the wild grasses are very soothing to this fox.
So much for this fox to explore.  Onward.
This looks like a good place to stop and have lunch.  Turkey sandwich and cheese for this little fox.  Dog chow (and some cheese) for Sequoia.
Finally some fall foliage.  I don't have my botanist hat with me but I am guessing these are Oregon White Oak.
The Oregon White Oak is also known as the Garry Oak in Canada.  Apparently, the Garry Oak is found on Vancouver Island. I wonder if Sandy has seen any of those oaks in his neighborhood.
This fox had a small adventure because I was busy at home working on my Halloween Costume for Jerry and Ben's contest.

Adventure time for a fox.

Oh, hi there.  I hope the winter weather is treating all of my blog pals well.  J and B is it snowing yet?

I was just relaxing on the roof of the car while my roommates get Sequoia set for our hiking adventure.  I am at a place called Coyote Wall. Coyote Wall is known for its wildflower display.  I wonder if any are left?
Before you make it to Coyote Wall you hike through a place called the Labyrinth.   This is not a traditional Labyrinth   but it's a beary calming place and certain faiths believe labyrinths are healing places too.  This is a peaceful place so I guess I have to agree.
The fall colors are out.  Yes, this blog is a little post dated.
The fall colors really accent my fur.
At a crossroads.
Due to my excellent navigation and hiking skills I have lead my team up Coyote Wall to the top.  It's time for lunch, my favorite meal after snack time.
To all of my friends I want to wish everyone a happy holidays.  Jerry and Ben, you two stay warm!!!!

A proper adventure

I had my lunch packed (pb and j) yesterday with the anticipation that I was going to get an adventure.  I have taken Jerry’s advice and left lots of hiking books around the house in hopes that my roommates would take me hiking.

They decided to take me to Coyote Wall.  To start the hike one must hike on an old road for a 1/2 mile or so.  The road is near the Columbia River so it’s a pretty scenic road.

The weather was great and some of the early wildflowers were out.  This one is of a desert parsley.

Here I am hanging out with the grass widows.
Mt. Hood was out for the day.  You can see if clearly in this picture.

I prefer this picture instead (I wonder why???)

We had to cross a stream with a beary small waterfall.  It was about my size which made a good picture for me.  Hmm, a little waterfall I bet Spunky would look good next to it too.

Toward the top of the hike you can enter an old forest.  My roommate thinks these are oak trees but we don’t really know.

As you can see Sequoia came along the hike today.  He is humoring me by posing in this picture, you can see that he really wants to continue his hike.

Hope your weekend adventures were fun.
