A winter adventure

Brrr, today's weather is in the low 30s and it's cold for a little fox.......Now.......I know it's not as cold as Jerry and Ben's winter home (9 degrees F in their winter town) but it's cold for me.  Last night it started snowing and it didn't stop till this morning.  The backyard got some snow, let's see what the rest of the area looks like.  Time for an adventure.
Now, I am a fox on an exploration.  The streets look OK.
Proof that we got a lot of snow last night.  My roommate stuck a ruler in the snow and it was 7 inches!
Yes, lots of snow but not too much snow to climb this tree.  I should have brought my scarf.
Even though the snow is out it looks like this tree has a berry on it. I wonder how tasty a berry in January tastes?
My destination was the park.  There were lots of trees down and the park looked really cool.

One last stop on my way home.
One of my winter friend, Penguin, wanted to go outside.  Penguin is certainly dressed for the weather.
Any good adventure needs to conclude with snacks.  Let's see, I have a steaming cup of coffee, a couple of cookies and a nice brownie.  Yes, this should suffice.

The last hike of the year.

Hello Blog Pals - I can't believe it's 2017! I hope everyone had a fun new years eve with lots of cookies, treats, and spending time with friends.

Before the end of the year my roommates took Sequoia and I snowshoeing.   We got lots of snow on Mt. Hood and it looks like we might even have cold weather this week (highs in the 30s).  now, that's probably hot for Jerry and Ben but for me and my crew in Oregon it's a tad cold.
I must admit I look very dapper in this photo.
After some hiking I needed a rest.  The good thing about fur is that you can just plop down in the snow and still be warm.  I wish I brought some hot chocolate, or warm tea, or coffee. Sequoia wanted to get in the picture as well.
Mt. Hood decided to show itself today.  Nice view.

Which was should we go?
Sequoia usually doesn't pose for pictures but he was in the mood to sit for a few minutes.

Finally, some time for me to play in the snow. I think I might try to make a snowfox.
It was good to finish out the year with nice weather and a good hike.  Now, what adventures are in store for me in 2017?

A gift from Droopy :)

Happy New Year everyone!  I wanted to thank Droopy and his crew for the cool Christmas gift.

Sequoia intercepted the package when it arrived and delivered it to me on Christmas day.
Droopy packaged the gift really well, I need scissors to open it up.
Even though these are big scissors for a little fox I made it work.

Oh, this necklace is really cool.  It's of a fox (just like me) and I think Sequoia is excited about it as well.  For Sequoia to be excited about something not edible is a big thing around here.
I also got a deck of cards - this will be great for my next trip to the casino.  Do you think they will let me play blackjack with this deck?
I also got a statue of a fox.  Now, this belongs in a museum for sure - let me make a call to the Galleria dell'Accademia and see if they want this statue as well as Michelangelo's David.  On, another hand I think it's best that I keep this statue at home so I can admire and appreciate it.
Droopy, thank you for the pawesome gifts this Christmas.
Little Fox.
PS -  Happy New Years Everyone.

A unique gift from my roommates.

Sequoia and I were just sitting around talking about our adventures and where we are off to next year.  Hard to believe it's almost 2017.  I have been busy this year with a trip to London, a trip to LA,  and my archaeological explorations.

I realized there was a Christmas gift I never opened yet.  It was a gift from my roommates and the box just said "To: Little Fox".  Yipee!!! A gift for me.

I opened up the gift and saw some interesting things in the box.  Looks like a hat, a satchel and a whip.
Upon further inspection I was right. Now, I have all the necessary items to become "Indiana Fox".
All the items fit and they are my size.  How did my roommates know?
Now that I am better outfitted for archaeology I better finish my classes so I am ready for my next adventure.

Merry Christmas.

The Christmas, non-Christmas stuffies, and I wanted to get together for a picture this year.  Merry Christmas everyone.

An afternoon out....

Hello Blogger Pals, It is I, Little Fox.  No, I am not on vacation in the Midwest although this picture reminds me of what a Midwest winter might be and I think I will take a "pass" on it.  My roommates told me to get my spare change and pack a lunch because we are going to the Casino.  If the Casino has a buffet, why do I need to pack a lunch?  Humans make no sense to me.
There is still some snow on the grounds of the Casino. I am not sure if you can see the waterfall in the background.  Maybe I will use this picture as my holiday card picture next year?

The casino had their decorations out in full force.
This bear was about 6 feet tall.  I wanted to hop onto his sleigh and open some of the gifts but my roommates discouraged that behavior since he was on a roped off platform. I don't know how tall Uncle Tibbs is but this bear was huge.

Now let's get down to business.  I have my change in a mason jar and I am ready to start playing the slots.  Let's see this one looks lucky.
This afternoon adventure was quite tiresome for me.  Casino's are built for walking around and little foxes don't have the stride length that humans do so I new I needed a break.  My roommates said they would get me a nice glass of wine to relax but upon further exploration this looks like water!
Santa Bear is going to hear about this.....trust me.

The mystery of the Golden Chicken

I have been very intrigued to learn about the mystery of the Golden Chicken from the Operative.  I have done a little reading on the legend and I realized this might be an attainable goal for me.

As I am preparing for my trip I learned that the Golden Chicken is guarded by a horse.  Huh, this could be fun.

After a long journey I made it where I think the Golden Chicken is at.  The museum is going to be so proud of me.  Before I venture any further I must rest.
After my rest, I am ready to go.
There it is!  I just need to scale this mountain.
Getting closer
The whip is around the chicken and horse.
***Crash***  Let me rearrange myself and prepare my findings for viewing
I can't believe I found the Golden Chicken and the Cork Horse Guardian.  I am going to be a hero to the museum curator.

Now the only question is what is next for me, Little Fox Archaeologist?
