Birthday Dinner for the Foxes

 Hiya,

It's been a while since this Fox got back on his blog.  However, the birthday events this weekend were super important.

I wanted to make a special meal for my pal (and fellow birthday fox) Drunk Fox.

Before we get cooking a little wine for me.
Some fancy coffee  for my pal Drunk Fox.
Kermit never wants to be left out of the action so he joined us too.
Now for the main course:  Salmon.
Tonight's meal is all about Drunk Fox.  He wanted Salmon Fried Rice and being that it's his birthday too I can only oblige.

After a little bit of time in the kitchen dinner is served.  Drunk Fox is being polite by using a fork, I'm digging right in.

Kermit wanted to get something special for the night so he got us both a piece of chocolate cake to share.

"Sure Kermit we can split this three ways."

Happy Birthday Little Fox

Note:  This is post moderately out-dated, all cards arrived early.  Kudos to the sekrebrearies.

Hello Gang,

Little Fox here hanging out with my stuffy pals.  I am honored that a few of the Christmas stuffies decided to hang out for my birthday.  Kermit, Drunk Fox, Wolfy, Baxter, Little Bear, Penguin, Christmas Bear, and Christmas elf are all in attendance.

My first card is from Sandy (how does he get his picture on a stamp)?
A beary nice card, in fact it's in the style of Droopy.  Sandy and Cocoa are getting some cabin fever (I can't blame them).  Stormy weather up there is cancelling ferries and trails are flooded.  I think Sandy should take Cocoa on a chocolate tasting tour on the mainland.

Sandy did mention they are planning their garden.  I need to get the humans on that too.  Spring is near...

Team Ajdin wished me a very happy birthday via this e-card.

Droopy and his pals wished me a very happy birthday.  Is this card upside down?  Ugh, sekrebearies.
Droopy also wished me a happy birthday with mucho chicken.  I am all up for that and I hope the new year brings Droopy mucho bacon.

I bet you can guess who this next card is from?  Last time I checked the temperature in these bears hometown it was cold! I hope it warms up soon.
Jerry and Ben sent an awesome card.  It has snoopy on it wishing me a happy birthday.
Jerry did mention that if there was any cake left over he would assist in eating it.  He's so helpful.
Um, sorry Jerry there was no cake this year.  But I did get a dessert. Stuffy sized oranges for all of my pals.
These are mandarins and they are only sold in winter, are they available in other parts of the country?  I sure hope so.
I did get a nice adventure to the mountain.  You can even see Sequoia on the right hand side of the picture.
Thanks everyone for the birthday cards.  Whose birthday is next?

A birthday for a little fox.

Party time!

Those two words are the easiest way to get Drunk Fox's attention.  Actually, Drunk Fox has been hired by Kermit to give him "notes" on his new comedy material.  Drunk Fox has spent lots of time in clubs, bars, and other drinking establishments so he knows good comedy.

As you may or may not know Drunk Fox is my only relative.  He's actually a very good uncle, he's always around the house, has sage advice, and is an expert on bar food.  He wanted to make sure he was around when I opened my mail.
It's one beary important day today.  My birthday.  That's right folks.  My roommates delivered some mail.

First up is a card from D.W.D.  I wonder who that could be?
Oh, a handmade card.....I know who D.W.D is.
Droppy, Angus, Spunky, and Patch sent a nice card wishing me a happy birthday with lots of chicken.  These guys know what I like.

Thanks Team Droopy.

Jerry and Ben sent a nice message via email wishing me a happy birthday.  They mentioned it was kind of cold in their hometown, I hope they are stocked up on hot cocoa, cookies, and other assorted snacks to make it through the winter.

Let's see my second card comes from Sandy.  I can see his signature stamp in the right hand corner.
Ah, that's a better photo of the stamp.

Lots of stickers too.  I seem to recall that his grandma was doing some spring cleaning and getting rid of stickers.  I must be an important fox since I got three stickers.
What a cool card.  Sandy wishes me a nice birthday, with lots of chicken and turkey and a few hikes thrown in for good measure.
Sandy has a good sense of what I like.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the fox card.

Do you see the mouse in the left hand side of the card.  This brings me to my next card.  It's not a birthday card per se but the timing is right.  The mouse reminds me of the rat and if you are familiar with the Lunar New Year 2020 is the year of the rat.

My pal Julie Jane Zebra, Elsie and Person sent me a nice card for new year.
It's a happy new year card.
Julie Jane, Elsie and Person got a new rabbit this last Christmas.  Can't wait to meet rabbit.

Speaking of rabbits......the animal that represents my birth year is the rabbit.

Drunk Fox's Chinese New Year animal is the tiger.

Sequoia's animal is the year of the dragon (could you imagine how cool it would have been if Sequoia was born during the year of the dog).
As you can see, Sequoia is less than interested in his zodiac animal sign.

Stuffie pals.... what is your zodiac animal sign?

Happy Birthday Little Fox

Hello Blog Pals,
Happy Birthday to me!  Today is January 19th my birthday.  Yipee.  What do my roommates have planned?

First, we went to the airport.  You can see there are lots of layovers scheduled here today at Canadian Geese Airways.  We went to the parcel shipping department and retrieved my gift.
Once we got home I opened my gift up.  What is it you ask?  Fresh cooked chicken.  Ahh, they know what I like.  Thanks roommates.
My roommates hinted that there was a special dinner too.I chopped some of my chicken up and my roommates got some pizza crusts, cheese, and sauce.  Looks like I am getting homemade pizza for my birthday dinner.  Do I have to share?
Now that the pizzas are cooked just waiting for them to cool.
Actually there were three pizzas all for me.  Now, who is going to cut them into manageable fox sized slices?
Of course no birthday would be complete without a mail call.
First up is a card from Ajdin, Parker, Ms. Feathers, Ooogie, and Uncle Tibbs.
Droopy and his pals sent a nice card (homemade?).
No hiking this birthday but it was a great one none-the-less.  Thanks for the cards and wishes.

Finally, a card from Sandy.  He mentioned I should have a chicken dinner for my birthday and then a Canadian holiday.  Sounds like a plan for me.

A certain mouse who lives in England might recognize this postcard.  It's an amazing postcard of a cool watercolor (I think)  that Beanie's human did of Paris.   My pal Wolfy is getting into art so he wanted to be part of this post as well.

Thank you everyone for the great cards.  I really appreciate it.

Early Birthday for Little Fox

Hello Blog Pals, this is Drunk Fox at the helm today.  My roommates gave me $5.00 for Little Fox's birthday gift.  I know exactly what to get him, a $5.00 gift card to Starbucks.  On the way to Starbucks I stopped by the grocery store and found an even better gift for him  (and I saved my roommates $.33 to boot).
How do you wrap a whole chicken?  Of course, it''s got to be a gift bag.
Now that the gift is wrapped I am going to give it to Little Fox early to really surprise him.

Little Fox seemed to have some trouble getting into the gift.  Luckily his friends were nearby to shout encouragement.

Little Fox can't stop gushing about how much he loves his gift, now it's time to start carving this chicken up.  Happy Birthday Little Fox.

Stonehenge?

My roommates woke me up early today and said "Get ready, were going to Stonehenge".  Now for a Little Fox who is afraid of flying internationally (I have heard horror stories of getting through customs) I was a little nervous.  Since my middle name is Adventure I figured it was worth a shot. I wonder what kind of things I should bring with me on a flight to Wiltshire England?  My roommates didn't seem too worried about packing (that's odd) and they hurried me in the car and started driving.  I started to get nervous when we drove past the airport and out toward to Columbia Gorge.  I soon realized they were talking about the OTHER Stonehenge, you know the one in Washington State, not the one in Wiltshire, England.

I haven't been to the real Stonehenge but somehow I think that you can't drive right up to it and for some reason I imagine the one in England busier...
Recently (in the last 5 - 10 years) they started putting up wind turbines in the Gorge.  It's not too windy today.

Back in the car, where are we off to now?  It looks like the back of a winery.  What, I have to clean all of these barrels while my roommates taste wine?  No way!  I am going to explore instead.

Check out this old building with all of the cattle, I wonder if they tours of the ranch?

Finally, I found a place for a fox to relax.  It was beary sunny today and about 47 Fahrenheit (8.5 Celsius for my international friends).  Not bad for February 1st.  I was enjoying the view while my roommates were wine tasting.   It's no Starbucks but the view was pretty nice.
Just when I was getting restless to move on  I got a bearday surprise. My own bottle of wine to share with my roommates (I am confused since this is MY bearday gift and I am not sure why I have to share it) but it was still a beary good adventure
