Yipee, a hike!

It was scheduled to rain today luckily my roomates noticed that it wasn't supposed to rain till later in the day.  That means they caved into my persistent badgering and took me for a hike.  This is the area we went to but we never made it to the top of the mountain.
The first stop was at the lake. It was so green.  I kept starting at it for a long time.  Ahh, it was good to get out today.
I took the flag Ajdin made and claimed this hill and lakes for Stuffies Around the World. My roommate told me the lake and hill already had a name, I reminided him that once the flag was planted in the ground the land now belongs to stuffies (I think I read that stuffies could do that in a law book or something).
We did some more hiking and I decided to rest on this bridge.  The water looks beary cold, I wonder if Salmon swim upstream in this river?  I will have to ask my bear friends if they know.  I decided to have a cup of hot chocoloate with extra marshmallows (fox size, not human size) and relaxed at the bridge for a while.
Back on the trail, we got to our stop.  I was fiddling in the backpack and claimed this spot for stuffies worldwide as well.  I think my roommates think my claiming land phase is going to my head.  Hmph, humans, what do they know???

One more glance at the lake.  I wish I brought a fishing pole, canoe, or at least some sort of floating device.  The lake looks so peaceful, perfect place for a little fox to learn how to fish or relax with a bucket of honey.

  1. What a great hike! You were well prepared too! A flag, hot chocolate WITH marshmallows, wow, we need to go hiking with you! We still have a beary lot of snow, but the weather will be warmer tomorrow so we are going to try a winter hike! Luckily, there is a nice place to get hot chocolate half way!

    1. Enjoy your winter hike (and the hot chocolate). I wish I could find more hikes with starbucks, cheese stores, or ice cream shops along the route. Glad to hear the snow is melting, does that mean Jerry is going to start gardening? My roommates made a raised bed last year and my roommates need to make another one this spring before we plant our tomatos and peppers. Perhaps a trip to home depot for supplies is in order.

    2. Well, the winter hike didn't go so well. It was fairly windy, and so that made it colder than predicted. The hiking trail was also coated with ice, and we slipped here and there; just too dangerous for little bears. So we opted to change directions and stopped for hot chocolate instead.

    3. That's too bad about the hike, glad you got some hot chocoalte though. Hot chocolate seems like an after hike requirement on any Fall, Winter, and Spring hikes! During the summer I pester my roommates for some huckleberry lemonaide.

  2. Oh, you are so lucky! We had buckets of rain yesterday but the weather is supposed to get nicer so I am going to pester and poke until I can go out for a hike! I am impressed with your flag and claiming land for stuffies. That might redraw the map of America!

    1. Redrawing the map of America? Hmmm, I like the power that goes wtih that.

It rained and was windy all last night (and a little bit on the hike as well) but we lucked out. The week is supposed to be nicer weather - maybe I can get my roommates to mow the lawn since it's going to be dry. My roommates think we should just get a goat to graze in the backyard.

    1. Excellent, I look forward to seeing your posts about hikes. Maybe you and Uncle Tibbs (and Ooogie) could get a flag and start claiming land for stuffies over on your side of the country?

  5. Thanks Hammie. I secretly wished the color of the lake was orange like me but the color it was will do.

  6. Boy Little Fox you sure do have some exciting adventures and claiming land for stuffles too. You went on a nice walk I'm too busy on my computer at the moment to walk. Chocolate and marshmallows you are lucky, everyone in this house is on a diet no chocolate and marshmallows for me.

  7. So sorry to hear about the diet :(

However, good health is very important.
