Off to the beach!

Howdy folks, Little Fox, Navy and Beanie here.  We are off to Rockaway Beach on the Coast.  An amazing day for early February.
First we started heading south trying to see the Twin Rocks.  You can see them in the way back of the picture.
This is as close as we got due to an outlet that was way too hard to cross.

Onward....heading north, Cocoa is trying to wave to Sandy.   "Hiya Sandy, having a great time down here".

Trying to stay dry.  Navy is really taking well to the water. I worried my guests would be traumatized by the Mouse Island Tsunami of year ago.

These stairs were found randomly on the beach.  Gotta use them just for fun.

Time for lunch.  Cheese, turkey, avocado (ok on a sandwich) then a few slices of string cheese and apple. The humans are really upping their lunch game with Navy and Cocoa here.

Just a few more minutes at the beach, it's so nice today (53 degrees) that we don't quite want to head home yet.

Storm Damage walk and Rummer Homes

Hiya Gang,
Little Fox here hanging out with my pals Cocoa and Navy Beanie.  As I'm sure you all noticed Navy Beanie was pretty adventurous guy a few weeks ago during our ice storm.

We decided to explore Beaverton on a hike since Beaverton has a ton of old trees and we wanted to see what Mother Nature had in store. First stop is the city park.  You can see some of the trees are pretty tall and this part of the park was closed.
The tree crews did a great job of stacking up the blown down trees.

Cocoa is very intrigued by this massive stump that was blown over.

Onward on our walk/exploration. Cocoa was pretty darn excited to see some early flowers.  No crocuses yet.
Robert Rummer, California architect built over 750 homes in the area from 1959 to 1975.  They are very cool, distinct lines, atriums, and these in Beaverton are in great condition.
So hard to get a good picture of the gang, especially when you are taking photos of some random persons home.
More Rummer homes.

My favorite style of Rummer home.  Super pricey, but very cool.

More storm damage at a playground.

Time to relax with some coffee.  Mutts Coffee is a new shop, they support rescue animals so we wanted to check them out.

After our adventure, it was time for a drink.
