Another adventure or two...

As John Muir said "The mountains are calling and I must go."  Today, I'm back on a hiking adventure around Smith Rocks. Let's go!

The landscape at Smith Rocks is so much different than my home hiking turf.
Always good to follow the cairns when hiking, just so you don't get lost.
Back down in the canyon walls.
Ah, what a hike.  This fox (and dog) are tired.
When's lunch?

A quick hiking adventure

 Hiya Gang,

Little Fox here.  I'm enjoying some nice time off for Memorial Day (yep, this is a tad outdated).  Oh well, I'm hoping to get some hiking taken care of.

I love the central part of my state.  The wide open spaces, the different trees and the sun!
Speaking of sun, I need to get this hike done quickly as I am chasing sunlight.  The forecast is sunny in the morning but raining after 1pm.
The wildflowers are small in the high desert but still pretty.
On a clearer day one can see the mountains.  Not quite today.
Still dry (yipee).

My hike was great and it was a  new one for me.  Plus, an after hike drink (or two).  The humans are hinting for a sip or two but I just don't know if I have enough beer to share.

Happy Father's Day

 Hiya Gang,
Little and Drunk Fox here.  We wanted to wish you a happy Father's Day.

Hopefully there is some BBQ'd chicken in our future today.

Mail from Minnesota

Yaah, Little Fox and Little Bear here (the best Minnesota accent we could do).

I got this cool card of Babe and the Blue Ox from Jerry and Ben.   My deduction skills tell me that they were up North  in Bemidji....perhaps visiting Babe and Paul.

Thanks for the awesome card you two (hope gardening season is starting up) I need to run into the kitchen and check my recipe book for a hot dish recipe using tater tots and cream of mushroom soup.  Yum, dinner is served.

A little adventure

 Hiya Gang,

Little Fox here.  Today, I'm off on a nice springtime hike at an Old Cherry Orchard.

Spring is nearing it's end but I'm hoping to find some nice wildflowers.  Nothing quite yet, the trail has been redone recently and is in great condition. Paws crossed.

The last of the lupine.
Sequoia found some good flowers as well.   Yeah Sequoia.
The wildflower season is slowly winding down but don't fret this fox has lots more exploring to do.
