Being that my roommates have Labor Day off I suggested they go to the store and get some special ingredients to make a meal for my bear friends.
First step was to roll out the puff pastry. Then I placed some frozen salmon on the pastry. I hope that frozen salmon is acceptable to my bear friends.
Step two, drizzle the salmon with olive oil, salt, and pepper. I decided to put some fresh basil from the garden, cover the salmon with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, and then bake it for about 30 minutes.
I took it out of the oven and had to wait for it to cool. About 30 seconds later all of my bear friends happened to stop by the kitchen.
Finally, it was put on a plate and served with a small salad (mainly for my vegetarian friend Reindeer) and then we all scarfed down the delicious salmon.
Oh yummy! That looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt was great, I wonder if I put some in an envelope and send it off to you guys will it make it safely.
ReplyDeleteLittle Fox, I will accept salmon of any kind.

Oh yes - salmon... any way you cook it... it is delicious! Is that Salmon Wellington? It looks beary simple to make... must try that. The puff pastry... is it, er.... homemade or... one of those Pillsbury dough boy things? Or maybe the frozen section?
ReplyDeleteIt's puff pastry from the freezer section of the grocery store. I took a few short cuts this time. For example I didn't catch the fish myself
ReplyDeleteHmmm... that sound easy! I have to admit... I don't catch my salmon myself either... Mama says it's not that hard but I think it would be messy!
DeleteThat looks so good! You are a very good cook and bears really like salmon. We have some bears living here with us and they are always wanting to eat salmon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am still learning to cook but getting better wtih the help of my roommates.
