Cooking with L. Fox

It's a beautiful fall day and my roommates decided to take the dog to a fund raiser for a emergency vet clinic.  Not taking me along on an adventure is somewhat unfair but what they don't know is that Drunk Fox and I have a secret plan up our sleeves.

First of all we got a great deal on some chicken recently.  At least I think it's a great price, if it's not don't tell me  :)
$.99 a pound, seems like a good price.
I did some searching and found a recipe that looks French.   Hmm, maybe Jerry and Ben might like this.
Crockpot Garlic Thyme Chicken

First, we need garlic and onions prepped.  I used my mandolin to slice these onions and they are a little thin.  I asked our resident vegetarian, Reindeer about this and he said they should work.

Next, I de-skinned the chicken and placed it in the slow cooker.  Drunk Fox and I do care about our health you know.
That's a lot of chicken for two.
Next we debated about some side dishes to serve with our dinner.  I suggested chicken salad and drunk fox suggested chicken strips.  We could not come to an agreement then Reindeer chimed in and said why not try polenta?
I hope it tastes better when it's cooked.
By the time the chicken was out of the slow cooker  and the polenta was cooked we could not waste any precious time by arranging a nice looking plate and sitting patiently why we got our photos taken so instead we just scarfed down our dinner.  As an after thought we decided to take a picture of the left overs.  Not quite the same but you get the idea.
Should we just eat the leftovers right now?

How are you and Drunk Fox related? Did you move in with your roommates at the same time?

    1. Drunk Fox and my family tree is convoluted. Yes we're related but not sure how we are related. Interestingly, we're the same age.
